American Idol Smooches

On the way to work this AM, my husband and I were bombarded with talk of the previous night’s “American Idol.” Neither of us care so much for the show, but undoubtedly we’re always “in the know” since we’re both pop culture junkies. Sanjaya is more famous now than ever, but such is life post-reality TV. People are supposed to grow up and phase out of the real “fake” life draw of celebrity, but some never do.
But when it comes to “American Idol,” it’s not only the singers of the show that demand the attention, but the judges (Simon, Randy, and Paula) that hog their share of publicity. Take the kiss everyone is talking about today between Simon and contestant LaKisha Jones. Who kissed who? Or better yet, which of the night’s calculating participants enjoyed the kiss?
